Cookie & Privacy Settings
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This page briefly explains what data our website stores locally in your browser and how you can change your choice at any time. A complete description can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Analytics and Marketing Cookies — Only With Your Consent
The following services are loaded only after you have agreed in the consent banner or on this page. They then set cookies or similar identifiers and also process data in the USA. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to § 25 (1) TDDDG and Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.
- Statistics — Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited): cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, lifetime up to 2 years; audience and usage measurement.
- Statistics — Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited): cookies _clck (1 year) and _clsk (1 day) plus cookies on clarity.ms; heatmaps and session recordings, form input is masked.
What We Store Locally
To operate this settings page itself, we store your chosen selection in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie. This only records which decision you have made — for example, whether you have consented to the display of the external map view on the contact page.
This storage is technically necessary so that we can take your decision into account on a subsequent visit without asking you again. The legal basis is § 25 (2) TDDDG in conjunction with our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
Only if you have consented to "Statistics" do we additionally keep, in session storage (sessionStorage), the page and referral through which you arrived and the pages you viewed. This information is deleted when you close the browser and is only transmitted if you submit the contact form.
What "External Media" Means
We use the term "external media" to refer to content that is loaded not from our own servers but from a third-party provider — on this website, this applies exclusively to the interactive map view provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation on our contact page.
This map is not loaded automatically. Only once you actively click "Load map" is a connection established to OpenStreetMap Foundation servers, whereby your IP address is transmitted to this provider in the United Kingdom. The legal basis for this is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR.
Changing Your Choice
You may withdraw any consent given (statistics, marketing, external map view) at any time with effect for the future by switching the corresponding setting off on this page or choosing "Reject all"; cookies already set by these services are then deleted as far as technically possible. Withdrawing consent is just as easy as giving it.
You can also delete all data stored in your browser completely at any time via your browser settings (typically under "Clear browsing data" or "Manage website data").
