Talk to the controller you already have.
Toleron reads modern CNC controllers directly and reaches older machines through sensors. Several ways in, one consistent picture — and one machine can use all of them at once.

Several ways in, one product
Controllers differ in what they provide. Toleron gives every way in its own connection test and its own status display, and all data ends up in the same views.
| Way in | What you get | Proven on |
|---|---|---|
| Siemens controller | Machine state, program, counters, alarms, axis positions, drive data | Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl and 828D, live |
| Haas controller | Execution state, program, positions, part counters | Haas TL-1 with Next Generation Control, live |
| Existing data feeds | Data that a Siemens edge system or another plant system already publishes | Sinumerik connector, live |
| Retrofitted sensors | Running or idle, load and process data on any machine | EdgeBox, see Retrofit Sensors |
The last way in matters most commercially: a machine with no controller interface at all can still be measured. A retrofitted sensor shows running or idle, load and cycle rhythm on a machine built decades before anyone thought about data.
No manual address lists
Nobody copies data addresses out of a manufacturer's manual. The EdgeBox reads everything the controller offers on its own — it resumes after a restart and never interrupts the running data collection.
In practice: over ten thousand data points on a Sinumerik 840D sl, plus everything an 828D offers. You then pick the values you need from a searchable list.
Alarms in the controller's own words
Toleron captures the controller's complete alarm picture — active alarms, the alarm history and short alarms that clear within seconds — together with operator messages, each with the controller's own text and time.
Every alarm is stored in its original wording, so nothing the controller reported is lost and later analysis can go back to the original. A failed read never closes an alarm by mistake.
Values you can trust
- If the connection drops, Toleron shows no value — never an old or invented one. A “last known value” is exactly how a dashboard shows a machine running while it is switched off.
- The connection display shows whether data is actually arriving, not merely whether a connection exists.
- After a pause or a restart, data collection picks up where it left off, so no time period goes missing unnoticed.
- Data that does not belong to the assigned machine is rejected and counted, never silently discarded.
