Documentation & resources
What you can read here, and what you can request.
The specification sheet and glossary below are the short forms we also use in datasheets and tender responses. Full product documentation, connection guides and installation material are available to customers and evaluation partners on request.
Guides
Start with your situation.
Specification sheet
Toleron platform — specification.
Every item is backed by a measurement on the laboratory machines or by our release reports. “Validated” means measured on a real machine; “supported” means designed in.
Connection
- Straight from the controller, read-only — validated on Siemens Sinumerik 840D sl and 828D and on Haas Next Generation Control (TL-1)
- Via Siemens Sinumerik Industrial Edge — validated
- Machines without a controller connection: additional sensors at the machine — validated end to end
- Controller alarms captured completely, with their original text and history
- All values a controller offers found automatically — over ten thousand, no manual address lists
At the machine
- Keeps recording data and events through network outages
- No lost or doubled data after a restart
- Recordings start automatically on events at the machine, with exact timestamps
- Evaluations and AI models run directly at the machine
Data
- All data stays on one server in your plant — no cloud
- Recordings kept permanently, never deleted automatically
- Data intake tested over long runs without losses
- Quick overviews across long periods, full detail on zoom — short peaks stay visible
- Data from one machine is never mixed up with another's
Evaluation
- Machine state from the controller or from the current draw — always labelled
- Shift calendars with breaks, night shifts and holidays
- Part counts with a traceable correction history; job tracking
- Downtime classified by rules or in bulk by hand
- OEE, availability, performance and quality — what is not measured shows as n/c, never as an invented figure
- 5 dashboards, 5 reports, CSV export throughout
- Evaluations set up once work on every machine — no programming per machine
- New evaluations tested on real past data before they go live
AI
- Every model checked against known reference examples before it can be used
- Models assess only the actual machining; if input is missing, they give no result rather than a guess
- Models can combine several sensors
- Every model runs on trial before it goes live; you choose where it runs
- Local assistant that answers questions about your machines and names its sources and how sure it is
- KSF GrindingExpert integration (Grind Master)
Security
- Login required everywhere; two user roles
- Access can be withdrawn immediately
- Access rights checked centrally for every function; changes only where explicitly allowed; checked by automated tests
- Strongly protected passwords; no passwords or keys in log files
- No writing to the machine — deliberately switched off
Operation
- Runs in your plant: one central server per site, EdgeBoxes at the machines
- Every update versioned, with backup, a way back and a written report
- Continuous health monitoring of the whole system
Glossary
The words we use.
- EdgeBox
- The small industrial computer at the machine. It records the data, keeps it through network outages and runs evaluations on the spot.
- AI box
- An EdgeBox with extra computing power for AI models. It evaluates the data of a neighbouring machine over the plant network.
- Central server
- The one server per site that stores all data and provides the dashboards and reports. It stands in your plant, not in a cloud.
- Role
- A standard term such as spindle load or part count. Each machine's values are assigned to these terms once — then every report works for every machine, without programming per machine.
- Trial run
- A new evaluation or model first runs alongside production without triggering anything. Only when its results hold up is it switched on.
- n/c
- “Not computable” — the product's refusal to fabricate a number it cannot measure.
- Current-derived
- A machine state taken from the current the machine draws instead of from its controller — for machines without a controller connection. Always labelled as such.
- Capability honesty
- The rule that an unmeasured figure is shown as n/c, never as 0 or 100, and that every calculated figure names its source.
Next step
Bring intelligence to your machines.
Connect existing CNC equipment without replacing the machine or the controller. We start with one machine, real data and an honest acceptance run.
