Solution · Sensor Monitoring & Event Recording
Keep the moment that matters.
The event that matters in machining is often shorter than the gap between two readings of the system that should have caught it. Toleron shows, watches and archives sensor signals in the full detail in which they were measured.
The problem
What you are up against.
- 01
Averaged data hides the peak that caused the scrap part.
- 02
Sending fast sensor data to a cloud costs bandwidth; not sending it means the analysis never happens.
- 03
Recordings started by hand miss the seconds before the event.
The approach
Live, in full detail
Sensor signals appear live on the machine page — from a fraction of a second up to ten minutes at a glance — and every peak stays visible. The live view is a preview; the stored data is always the complete record.
Recordings that start themselves
Set a condition on any live signal. The EdgeBox checks it right at the machine and records automatically — including the moments before and after the event — with no browser open. In acceptance testing, a rapid series of recordings started and stopped without a single gap.
A permanent archive that tells the truth
Finished recordings go into a permanent archive in full detail that is never deleted automatically — with a chart per signal, zoom by dragging, and export as CSV or as a ZIP of many recordings at once. If a recording had to be cut short, it is marked as such with the reason — it never silently looks complete.
What we use
- Additional sensors at the machine, in full detail
- Data from the controller
- Any signal as the start condition for a recording
What you get
- Fast signals live on screen, peaks included
- Automatic recordings, including the moments before the event
- A permanent, exportable archive that marks incomplete recordings
- Data held at the machine during network outages
Tested on
- LabSeveral channels recorded without loss — also across a restart of the recording
- LabContinuous operation, no data lost
- LabMany recordings started in quick succession, no gaps
Tested on the lab machines in Tuttlingen — proof that it works, not customer references.
