OPC UA, done the way controllers actually behave.

OPC UA is the widest door into a modern CNC controller. Toleron keeps a robust session per connector, discovers the full address space instead of transcribing node IDs, captures alarms as events where the server supports it, and never returns a value from a dead session.

Robust sessions

Reads, writes, browsing and alarm capture never race the connection. A lost session is detected and re-established automatically, and a read on a dead session returns nothing — never a cached value.

Discovery, resumable

The EdgeBox browses the controller's entire namespace and streams it back. The job is resumable after a restart, cancellable from the UI, and runs beside live polling without interrupting it. On a Sinumerik 840D sl that is over ten thousand nodes, with no disturbance to the live connection. The catalog is searchable and backs the node picker used wherever a signal is chosen.

Alarms as a first-class source

Where the server offers it, a genuine event subscription captures transient alarms, operator messages and controller-resolved text — complete alarm capture, including history, stored verbatim. Messages that are not true alarms are archived as transient rather than as alarms that stand forever.

Security

Endpoint, security policy and mode, and authentication are configured per connector and tested live through the EdgeBox before a single node is polled. Controller credentials are stored server-side and never reach the browser.

Bring intelligence to your machines.

Connect existing CNC equipment without replacing the machine or the controller. We start with one machine, real data and an honest acceptance run.
